Kitzbuhel is the ultimate paradise for hiking. Click on the below link for hike recommendations & download the "All Trails" app on your iPhone during your hike. Most hikes in the area have various restaurants along the way as well.

The most famous hike is called the "Streif," which is where one of the most famous ski races in the world takes place.

Go for a dip in the "Schwarzsee" lake, 10 minutes by car from Kitzbuhel. This is a great way to cool off after a long hike. The lake also has a few hotels on it, where you can grab an ice cream, a drink, or a bite to eat.

Visit Salzburg for the day! Salzburg, home to "The Sound of Music" movie is great day trip. Salzburg is only a 1 hour and 15 minute car or train ride from Kitzbuhel.

Kitzbuhel is close to many other cities in Europe that are worth seeing. Before or after the wedding, we recommend traveling to any of the following locations:

1. Salzburg, Austria: home of the famous "Sound of Music" movie. A 1.5 hour car ride or train ride north east of Kitzbuhel. If you can stop by "Berchtesgaden, Germany" on your way in/out of Salzburg, you can see the famous Eagles Nest and Königs lake.

2. Neuschwanstein & Linderhof Castles: A 3 hour drive west of Kitzbuhel, lies the famous Disney castle. Highly recommend visiting this area of Germany.

3. Munich, Germany: A 1.5 hour drive north of Kitzbuhel, we highly recommend visiting the hometown of Steffi's mom. This city is breathtaking and has lots to do.

4. Verona, Italy & Lake Garda: A 4.5 hour car or train ride south of Kitzbuhel. You can easily get to Milan, Italy and Lake Como as well.
